Build the Strength Pointe Work Demands

PRE-POINTE PROGRAM

FALL 2026

Before the Pointe Shoes, There's This

Pointe shoes don't make a dancer ready for pointe work. The training underneath them does.

This 12-week program is built for Premium Members working toward pointe, focused on the foot and ankle strength, core control, and alignment pointe work demands, long before a single rise happens in a pointe shoe.

Lydia Craft
Lydia Craft
Pre-Pointe Program

Lydia Craft is a dedicated dancer and choreographer with 17 years of training, rooted in ballet and enriched by jazz, modern, contemporary, and musical theater. Currently pursuing a degree in Biological Sciences at Southern Illinois University, Lydia also serves as Costume Coordinator and choreographer for the Southern Illinois Dance Company. In Pre-Pointe, she brings that same technical precision to the foundational work that gets a dancer ready for pointe, helping each student build strength and confidence one careful step at a time.

THE TRAINING BEHIND THE SHOES

Why Pre-Pointe Matters

Why Pre-Pointe Matters — Cards Only
01

Foot & Ankle Conditioning

Building the intrinsic strength so your feet do the work, not the shoes.

02

Core Strength & Stability

The control that pointe work requires starts on the floor, long before you leave it.

03

Alignment & Placement

Clean technique protects you from injury and sets you up to keep progressing.

04

Flexibility & Articulation

Range of motion that lets the work ahead feel fluid instead of forced.

A Readiness To Go Further

This program is for adult ballet students who have a working foundation in ballet technique and want to take the next step. You do not need to have been evaluated for pointe readiness yet — this program is how you get there.

Not sure if this is the right next step for you? Reach out. We are happy to talk it through.
