We’re an adult-only dance studio in Murphysboro, Illinois—serving the Carbondale, Murphysboro, and greater Southern Illinois region. We’re growing, and we’re looking for a ballet instructor who believes what we believe: that adults deserve a real place to dance.
We’re not just hiring for credentials. We’re hiring for culture.
The right instructor for The Dance Barre Southern Illinois brings genuine ballet training and knows how to meet adult students where they are. Our members range from first-timers stepping into a studio for the first time to returning dancers reconnecting with movement after years away. Every one of them deserves quality instruction, real encouragement, and a teacher who shows up as a community builder.
Something real is taking shape in Southern Illinois, and we're looking for the right person to help build it. If you have the training, the patience, and the belief that adults can—and should—learn to dance, we want to hear from you. You don’t have to be local yet, but you do have to care.
What We’re Looking ForA strong ballet foundation and training background, with a commitment to quality instruction at every level.
Experience teaching adults, or a genuine desire to—with an understanding of what that environment requires.
Patience and consistency in the studio. Our beginning students need a teacher who builds trust over time.
A belief that a beginner deserves the same care and attention as an advanced student.
